Success in Linux phone depends on how large the community is,
with the massive population in China that use E680i, the Users as Developers idealogy has no longer an ideal, and this is one big victory for Motorola. Now the phone, only by its hardware limitation, has unlimited software application possibility. And the best parts are, MOTO produce the phone cheaply because of the linux's free, and the open-source has let users to do craziest things to their phone, thanks to all their works, now I'm playing Chono Trigger, Dragon ball tourament 3, A-league soccer, all these Classic, wonderfully smooth and fast and BIG sound too..

Another thing is improvement to the phone can be done by users directly to the core as well, whereas Symbian improvement has to be done by the manufacturers.. which performs unefficiently. So how optimized the E680i goes? well... it's more optimized for all Palm, WinCE and PocketPC's
